Olive, as she is known at home, is from Mr. Johnston’s Doddsline kennel. I had decided I wanted to show my next Heeler so I went to look at what pups he had. He had 3 females and recommended one of them to me, but I wanted Olive. She was of perfect proportions and had a lovely head her movement was good and her tan was almost red. Mr Johnston pointed out that she was 5 months old and he had kept her as he also thought she was good but was a little worried she was going to be undersized. My mind was made up I, loved her already, Olive has grown but to me is still on the small side, even so, she qualified for Crufts 2002.
To qualify for Crufts you need to gain a 1st to a 3rd placing at a Championship show. Olive received a 3rd placing out of 3 exhibits in her class!!! Needless to say, I decided not to enter her.
Apart from size, Olive is top class and being out of Doddsline Kristen I hope her first litter will produce some real nice pups. She is the comic of my dogs she is always dancing on her back legs and spinning round. .Everyone who sees her want to take her home. NO CHANCE, she’s hear to stay.
Olive produced 3 quality pups (2 males and one female) on the 1st of June 2003 sired by Heelrose Ernest. All three pups tested clear of Collie eye anomaly.
